Global Sustainability is multi-disciplinary which means it has several avenues from business to public policy, design to marketing to education. So people coming out with that certificate can work in a variety of jobs. They can be in the public center. They can be an environmentalist focus consultant group. They can work in education teaching kids about the environment. So it does span the whole gamut and probably it’s the broadest of the certificates that comes out of Humanities and Sciences.

Just recently I was talking to one of my Global Sustainability students and he’s starting his own business and is just so excited about what he learned at UCLA Extension. He’s just finished his business plan and he’s looking for financing and he was just bubbling with excitement and it just made me bubble to, because I know he’s going to be successful.

Global Sustainability supported my efforts to career transition with tools to begin and bolster that process.

It really helped me gain a great understanding and knowledge about green building and sustainable design.
