What I like best about the real world experience that my instructors gave me is that the industries that we had discussed have changed, they are constantly changing and they come with the experience of this change and bring it to the classroom. So whatever is happening right now they’re allowing, they’re explaining this change to you.

     UCLA Extension helped me learn what I needed to learn in order to land my present job, and without it I don’t believe I would be working at this time.

     I didn’t want to go to a master’s degree cause it didn’t really offer what I was looking for so this was just the perfect option.

     I work at CPE HR based in Los Angeles as a payroll specialist. They’re recognized as the best place to work in Los Angeles for three years in a row by the LA Business Journal.

     You can learn something new at any age and you can really reap the rewards from doing that.

     It’s been a remarkable experience for me, it’s made me a better fundraiser for the American Heart Association, which is my cause.

     I took the courses and toward the end of my class-load, right before I graduated, I received a position over at IDC Films Santa Monica.

     I think if you are planning to do a change in your career as I did, it is a very good tool because you will get to know what exactly you want and you will get ah, the power to choose what you want to do.

     One of the things I love about teaching at UCLA is I’m able to bring my real-world experience in digital marketing to my students and I can do that through numerous ways, but really one of the best ways I do that is through case-studies and through anecdotal examples of what I experience in my own job outside of teaching at UCLA working with Disney, with Nestle, with Lexus, Honda, all these great brands that are doing wonderful exciting innovative things in the world of digital marketing and I bring that directly to my students and I do that every session we have.

     I would recommend the program to anybody thinking of a career change.

     I’m currently working as a marketing consultant for The Health Group, which is the largest organization in the United States that serves children with special needs such as autism, ADHD, other learning challenges. And I truly believe that I got the job because of my background and because of the fact that I had just graduated from the Health Care Management and Leadership Program.

     All of us are working professionals, have our own companies, work for corporate companies are entrepreneurs. To bring the real-world experience to the classroom is a very good experience for students.
